The first time we ever held a film making workshop we were very nervous and not very experienced film makers ourselves but we saw it as learning tool for ourselves aswell as the 12 young participants.
Bradford 48 hour film challenge was held on the 30th October - 1st November. 22 teams were invited to the National Media Museum and greeted by Peg Alexander, Director of Bradford City of FIlm. Each team were give a title and a prop and had 48 hours to write a script, cast the actors, find locations, shoot the film, edit the film and burn it to DVD. After an intense film shoot each creation was screened at the National Media Museum where the panel of judges chose which film would win the 'Best of the Challenge' Prize. The best film would also be screened at the 2011 Bradford International Film Festival. Let There Be Light Productions were very excited to take part in the event and saw it as a chance to kick start their business. After attending the induction, where speaker Marc Price (director of a low budget Zombie Movie 'Colin') officially announced the start of the challenge, we were given our title' Flesh and Blood' and our prop which was a badge of President Obama and his family labeled '1st family'.
